Georgetown Football Travels to Bucknell

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team (4-3, 1-1 PL) will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to take on Patriot League foe Bucknell on Saturday, October 25. Kickoff is slated for noon at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • Last weekend, the Hoyas used a late rushing touchdown from quarterback Dez Thomas II to secure the 21-17 victory over Colgate. The win was GU's first victory over Colgate since 2011. 
  • On the season, Jimmy Kibble leads GU receivers with 605 yards and three touchdowns. Kibble now has 2,196 career receiving yards and is now fourth in program history.
  • Thomas has completed 60 passes for 748 yards and four touchdowns.
  • Sophomore Savion Hart leads the ground game for GU with 92 runs for 432 yards and six touchdowns.
  • On defense, GianCarlo Rufo leads the Hoyas with 68 tackles (34 solo, 34 assists) while Cooper Blomstrom leads with 2.5 sacks for a loss of 17 yards and four quarterback hurries. 
ABOUT THE BISON
  • The Bison are coming off of a 30-20 loss to Cornell in Ithaca, New York last Saturday. 
  • Bucknell is 4-4 overall and 1-2 in Patriot League action. The Bison's lone conference win was a 33-28 over Richmond at home. 
  • On the season, Quarterback Ralph Rucker IV has completed 111-163 for 1510 yards and 10 touchdowns. 
  • Sam Milligan leads Bison receivers with 44 catches for 718 yards and six touchdowns followed by TJ Cadden with 38 catches for 563 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Defensively, Brandon Biagiarelli leads with 61 tackles (34 solo, 27 assists) followed by Deuce Geter with 48 tackles (20 solo, 28 assists). 
  • Ten Bison have recorded at least one sack this season. 
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
  • Georgetown and Bucknell will meet for the 37th time in program history. The Hoyas are 15-20-1 against the Bison.
  • Last season, the Hoyas captured a one point victory 21-20 over the Bison on Cooper Field. 
  • In the last five meetings with Bucknell, GU holds a 3-2 advantage with two of the wins being on the road.
