WASHINGTON - Sophomores Tate Lampman and Mitchell Baker both earned BIG EAST Conference weekly honors on Monday when the conference announced its weekly award winners. Lampman was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, while Baker was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as the Hoyas went 1-0 and won the regular season East Division crown this past weekend.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week

• In his second game back from returning from an injury in the beginning of September, Lampman once again anchored a Georgetown defense that collected its second-consecutive shutout and eighth overall.
• As a unit, the Hoyas limited Xavier to just three shots and one shot on target in the 3-0 win.
• Offensively, the sophomore defender connected with Mitchell Baker for the opening goal of the contest.
• This is his first-career weekly award, and the eighth for the Blue & Gray this season.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

• Baker managed a goal in Georgetown's 3-0 victory over Xavier on Saturday to clinch the East Division title.
• Baker is second on the squad in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 18 points on the season.
• This is his fourth-career nod to the honor roll, and the third-consecutive week he has won a weekly honor.
• It is also the ninth honor roll award for the Blue & Gray this season.
