Hoyas Announced as Part of 2026 Rady Children’s Invitational Field

WASHINGTON –  Georgetown University's men's basketball team was announced as one of four institutions participating in the 2026 Rady Children's Invitational, as announced by Sports San Diego today. Joining the Hoyas will be UCLA (Big Ten), Texas (SEC) and Saint Mary's (WCC), and the four squads will compete in the fourth annual two-day college basketball tournament tipping off Thanksgiving Day next year.
 
Taking place at the Jenny Craig Pavilion on the campus of the University of San Diego, the tournament is set for November 26-27, 2026. Each day will feature two games, with the championship and third-place matchups on November 27. Tip-off times will be announced at a later date.
 
"The 2026 Rady Children's Invitational lineup is a total showstopper," said Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego. "San Diego will be buzzing with energy as fans from across the country travel here for the tournament. We're thrilled to welcome them, along with our loyal local supporters who have helped to make this tournament a sellout in each of its first two years. Tickets are selling quickly again this year, and we can already feel the excitement building across the city."
 
About the 2026 Rady Children's Invitational Teams:
UCLA                                                                                                                                                                  
The Bruins have set several NCAA records including 11 NCAA titles, seven consecutive NCAA titles (1967-73), 13 NCAA title game appearances, ten straight Final Four appearances, and 25 Final Four victories. UCLA also had an 88-game regular season winning streak.
 
Georgetown
The Hoyas won the national championship in 1984 and made the Final Four on five occasions. They have won the BIG EAST Conference tournament a record eight times and also won or shared the BIG EAST regular season title ten times. They have appeared in the NCAA tournament 31 times.
 
Texas
The Longhorns have won 29 conference titles along with three Final Four appearances. In addition, they have made 11 Sweet 16's and eight Elite 8 games. Texas has also posted over 1,900 wins.
 
Saint Mary's
The Gaels, from the West Coast Conference, have won ten conference championships including being a single digit seed in each of the last four Big Dances. In addition, they have competed in 13 NCAA tournaments.

About Jenny Craig Pavilion
The Jenny Craig Pavilion (JCP) is the premier arena for the University of San Diego Athletics, serving as the home of the Toreros' volleyball and men's and women's basketball programs. Since debuting in 2000, the 5,100-seat arena has hosted West Coast Conference championships, NCAA post-season play, high-profile matchups, commencements, and numerous community events.
 
In 2024, the JCP underwent multi-million-dollar upgrades to enhance the student-athlete and fan experience. Improvements included state-of-the-art LED lighting, a new sound system, a four-sided center-hung videoboard, and two end-wall ribbon boards. Up Next
Georgetown will be back in action on Friday, November 7 when the squad travels to College Park, Maryland to take on the University of Maryland Terrapins. Tipoff at Xfinity is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be available on FS1 with Jason Horowitz calling the play-by-play and LaPhonso Ellis providing analysis. The game can be heard locally on Bloomberg 99.1FM as well as on the SiriusXM app with Rich Chvotkin, in his 52nd season as the Voice of the Hoyas, calling the action.
