Mitchell Baker were two of 15 men's soccer student-athletes that were selected on Tuesday as semifinalists for Missouri Athletic Club's (MAC) Hermann Trophy, the country's top college soccer honor.

- Zengue was the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and a unanimous First Team All-BIG EAST honoree.
- Earlier today, he was named First Team All-East Region by the United Soccer Coaches.
- Zengue started all 22 games he appeared in and had a team-leading 14 goals and 14 assists for 42 points on the season.
- This includes three game winners and four penalty kicks.
- The North Oaks, Minnesota native led the BIG EAST in points, goals and assists while ranking third, eighth and third in the three categories in the nation, respectively.
- He was a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection and earned three BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week awards this past season while also being named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on two occasions.
- He has also been a part of the MAC Hermann Trophy pool earning a place on both the Watch List and Midseason List.
- Following his sophomore year, he was selected by the Columbus Crew in the second round with the 29th pick and 58th overall in the MLS Draft.

- His five game winners led the BIG EAST Conference and ranked sixth in the nation.
- Baker was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week once this past season as well as earning three nods to the weekly honor roll.
- He was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament team following Georgetown's victory.
- This is the first time that Baker has earned Mac Hermann recognition.
- The Melbourne, Australia native was a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection.
Georgetown and the MAC Hermann Trophy
- Zengue and Baker are Georgetown's ninth and 10th semifinalists in program history.
- This is only the second time in program history that the Hoyas have had two semifinalists, the last was in 2021 when both Dante Polvara and Sean Zawadzki were honored.
- Polvara would go on to become Georgetown's first MAC Hermann Trophy Award winner.
- The only other school to have two semifinalists on the list was NC State.
- Georgetown was one of two schools from the BIG EAST Conference with at least one player recognized.
About the MAC Hermann Trophy
- The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer and has been awarded annually since 1967. Three men's finalists will be named for the award on Wednesday, Dec. 17 after voting by NCAA Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. The 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy winner will then be announced at a press conference at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Jan. 9, 2026.
