WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will make the quick trip to Arlington, Virginia to face George Washington on Tuesday, February 25. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Tucker Field at Barcroft Park.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown enters the contest with a 3-4 record on the season after going 1-2 against Sacred Heart this weekend. JT Raab was sensational on Friday night en route to his first win on the bump as a Hoya. Raab tossed six innings allowing one run on six hits while punching out seven.
- Jeremy Sheffield had a fantastic week for GU at the dish slashing .438/.526/.563 in four games. The third basemen tallied seven hits, seven RBIs, four runs scored, a triple, two walks and two stolen bases. Sheffield was perfect in the field posting a 1.000 fielding percentage on the week.
- In the Hoyas' series against Sacred Heart, Noah Leib and Dylan Larkins were stellar, slashing .364/.364/.455 and .333/.500/.333, respectively. Leib tallied four RBIs and a double while Larkins chipped in two RBIs, three walks and three stolen bags.
- Kai Leckszas was superb on Friday afternoon tossing three innings allowing one hit and no runs en route to his first save of the season. Nadell Booker had a solid week going four innings across two outings allowing four hits and no runs while punching out two.
- Georgetown ranks fifth nationally in stolen bases with 24 on the season. GU is narrowly behind Arizona State, Gardner-Webb and Florida who are all tied for second with 25 stolen bases.
- GU recorded its highest RPI ranking in program history a season ago finishing 59th nationally.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from a 2024 squad that reached the BIG EAST Championship after winning a program-record 36 games. The 2024 campaign also marked the first time the Blue & Gray has had three-consecutive 30-win seasons in program history.
- Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his fifth season on the Hilltop after guiding the Hoyas to its most successful season in program history in 2024 posting a 36-21 record. Thompson has guided the Blue & Gray to three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history. 2024 also marked the first time in the Thompson era that Georgetown has had a player selected in the MLB Draft in back-to-back seasons, as Everett Catlett was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 12th round of the 2024 MLB Draft and Jake Bloss was taken in the third round by the Houston Astros in 2023.
ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON
- George Washington enters Tuesday's game with a 2-4 record after winning its weekend series over Holy Cross 2-1. GW secured wins in games one and two with an 8-0 shutout and a 6-3 victory before dropping Sunday's contest 8-2.
- Ellis Schwartz leads the Revolutionaries at the dish slashing .444/.476/.833 in five games. Schwartz has one double, two home runs and seven RBIs to his credit.
- Michael Foltz Jr. has been solid on the mound for GW posting a 1-1 record so far this season. Foltz Jr. boasts a 4.70 ERA and has nine strikeouts in 7.2 innings.
