WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams will head up to West Point, New York from February 7-9 for five matches between both teams. The men's team will compete in three matches across three days, facing Army, Marquette and St. John's from February 7-9, while the women's team will face Army and Marquette on February 7 and 8, respectively.
FOLLOW THE HOYAS
· Men's tennis will kick off a three-match weekend with a matchup against the Army Black Knights at 2 p.m. on February 7, before taking on St. John's in their first BIG EAST matchup of the season on February 8 at 8 a.m. The Hoyas will cap off their weekend with a Sunday morning conference matchup against Marquette at 8 a.m.
· The women's tennis team will have two matches from February 7-8, with their weekend starting with a matchup against Army at 5 p.m. on Friday before taking on Marquette in their second BIG EAST match of the season on Saturday at 5 p.m.

ABOUT GEORGETOWN MEN'S TENNIS | 1-3, 0-0 BIG EAST
· The Blue & Gray are coming off a 0-2 weekend, dropping matches to Princeton and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
· GU picked up its first win of the season against Howard, 7-0. The Blue & Gray accumulated a 9-0 record between singles and doubles matches, going 6-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles.
· Jake Fellows enters the match with a 3-1 record in singles matches this spring and has also tallied two wins in doubles matches.
· Arthur O'Sullivan is behind Fellows, winning two of his singles matches this spring to go along with two doubles matches.
· GU will play its first two BIG EAST matches of the season against St. John's and Marquette on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. The Blue & Gray are coming off a 4-3 record in conference matches a season ago.
ABOUT GEORGETOWN WOMEN'S TENNIS | 2-1, 0-1 BIG EAST
· The Hoyas are coming off of a 1-1 weekend, dropping its first BIG EAST match of the season to DePaul, 5-2 on Friday, January 31 before getting back in the win column with a victory over Mount St. Mary's, 6-1 on February 2.
· In its win over Mount St. Mary's GU tallied two wins in doubles matches and went 5-1 in singles matches, with Ellen Puzak/Paige Gilbert and Molly Evans/Jordan Thomas picking up wins. Emily Novikov, Gilbert, Natasha Kavarana, Puzak and Carolyn Schaefer all picked up singles wins.
· Novikov and Kavarana are both 3-0 in spring singles matches to start off the spring.
· The Blue & Gray have their second conference matchup of the season against Marquette after dropping their first to DePaul. Georgetown went 4-2 in conference action just a season ago.
