ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • Georgetown enters the series with a 7-10 record after splitting a two-game midweek series with Penn State 1-1. Johan Franco picked up his first collegiate win on the bump on Tuesday in GU's 14-10 victory over the Nittany Lions.
  • Andrew Williams was sensational for the Blue & Gray on Sunday. Fresh off earning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week, Williams tossed a seven-inning complete game on Sunday against Longwood. The senior left-handed pitcher was electric, punching out eight Lancer batters while allowing only two hits and no runs.
  • Kavi Caster was superb in a 3-1 week for Georgetown, slashing .438/.412/.875 on the week. Caster tallied seven hits, four doubles and one home run to go with nine RBIs on the week. Caster earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for his efforts last week marking the fifth time a Hoya has earned league recognition this season.
  • Dylan Larkins leads the squad at the plate slashing .354/.515/.417. The Detroit native has 15 runs scored, 10 RBIs, 16 walks and 11 stolen bags to his credit.
  • On the mound, Williams leads the Hoyas with a 2-0 record and a 1.59 ERA in 17.0 innings of action. The Atlanta, Georgia native has allowed three earned runs and punched out 16 so far this season. Williams has garnered back-to-back BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week awards, marking the first time a Hoya has earned the award in consecutive weeks since 2016.
  • Georgetown ranks fourth nationally in stolen bases with 55 on the season. GU trails Mount St. Mary's (56), Wofford (60) and VMI (114).
  • Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his fifth season on the Hilltop after guiding the Hoyas to its most successful season in program history in 2024, posting a 36-21 record. Thompson has guided the Blue & Gray to three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history. 2024 also marked the first time in the Thompson era that Georgetown has had a player selected in the MLB Draft in back-to-back seasons, as Everett Catlett was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 12th round of the 2024 MLB Draft and Jake Bloss was taken in the third round by the Houston Astros in 2023.

ABOUT MONMOUTH
  • Monmouth enters the weekend with a 6-10 record after defeating Fairleigh Dickinson (19-4) and Villanova (11-6) in midweek matchups.
  • At the plate, Casey Caufield leads the Hawks slashing .377/.458/.492. Caufield has 23 hits, seven doubles, nine RBIs and eight walks to his credit.
