WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will host George Mason, Towson and Longwood this weekend for the DMV Classic. Georgetown will play George Mason on Friday, March 7, Towson on Saturday and Longwood on Sunday. All three games will be played at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia. First pitch for all three contests is slated for noon.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown enters the weekend with a 4-8 record after picking up a 21-6 victory on Tuesday over Coppin State. Owen Carapellotti led the way for GU hitting two home runs while recording five RBIs. Tristan Head was 3-for-4 on the day with a homer and two RBIs while Kavi Caster tallied four RBIs followed by Jaden Sheffield's three RBIs.
- Andrew Williams was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week on Monday after an impressive five inning outing on Sunday against then-No. 7 Florida State. Williams allowed five hits and no earned runs and punched out three Seminole batters. This is Williams' first award of the 2025 campaign and it's the first time the senior has been named the conference pitcher of the week in his career.
- Dylan Larkins leads the squad at the plate slashing .357/.537/.357. The Detroit native has nine runs scored, seven RBIs, 11 walks and seven stolen bags on the season.
- JT Raab leads the Hoyas on the mound boasting a 1-1 record with a 3.24 ERA. Raab has tossed a team-high 16.2 innings while allowing six earned runs. The graduate student has 16 strikeouts to his credit this season.
- Georgetown ranks eighth nationally in stolen bases with 36 on the season.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from a 2024 squad that reached the BIG EAST Championship after winning a program-record 36 games. The 2024 campaign also marked the first time the Blue & Gray has had three-consecutive 30-win seasons in program history.
- Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his fifth season on the Hilltop after guiding the Hoyas to its most successful season in program history in 2024, posting a 36-21 record. Thompson has guided the Blue & Gray to three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history. 2024 also marked the first time in the Thompson era that Georgetown has had a player selected in the MLB Draft in back-to-back seasons, as Everett Catlett was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 12th round of the 2024 MLB Draft and Jake Bloss was taken in the third round by the Houston Astros in 2023.
ABOUT GEORGE MASON
- George Mason enters Friday's contest with a 8-4 record after downing Holy Cross 26-6 on Tuesday afternoon. Mason broke the NCAA Division I record for most runs in an inning without hitting a home run as the Patriots tallied 23 runs in the second inning on Tuesday. The record which stood for 42 years, was last tied in 2010 when Valparaiso put up 21 in an inning.
- James Quinn-Irons leads the Patriots at the dish slashing .551/.621/.1.000. Quinn-Irons leads the team in hits (27), doubles (7), home runs (5) and RBIs (26).
- On the mound, Connor O'Hara leads George Mason with a 2.08 ERA and boasts a 0-1 record. O'Hara has tossed 13.0 innings and has struck out 12 while limiting his opponents to a .231 batting average.

- Towson enters the weekend with a 3-8 record before playing Holy Cross at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Towson is 0-4 in its last four games dropping one to Richmond and three to Holy Cross.
- Brian Heckelman leads Towson at the dish, slashing .320/.433/.640. Heckelman has eight hits, one double, two triples, a home run and seven RBIs to his credit.
- Max Simpson has logged 15.0 innings on the mound this season for the Tigers boasting a 3.00 ERA. Simpson boasts a 1-2 record and has 11 strikeouts to three walks this season.
ABOUT LONGWOOD
- The Lancers enter the weekend with a 3-8 record after defeating Boston College 13-12 on Tuesday afternoon. Over the weekend, Longwood dropped three out of four games against the UAlbany Great Danes.
- James Nelson leads the Lancer offense, slashing .425/.477/.775 with six doubles, one triple and two home runs on the season. Nelson has 11 RBIs and four walks to his credit in 10 appearances.
- Alek Elges leads Longwood on the mound boasting a 6.75 ERA and an 0-2 record. Elges has tossed 14.2 innings and has allowed 21 runs and 11 earned runs while punching out 10.
