Tennis Prepares for Final Regular Season Matches

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis squads will cap off the regular season with three matches this weekend. The men's team will head to Boyds, Maryland on Friday for a match against William & Mary before traveling to Villanova for a BIG EAST clash with the Wildcats. The women's team will join the men's team in Villanova on Saturday for its final conference match.

  • The men's tennis match on Friday is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. at the Montgomery TennisPlex in Boyds, Maryland. A link to live stats will be available at GUHoyas.com.
  • The men's tennis match at Villanova on Saturday is slated for 9 a.m. while the women's match is set to begin at noon.

  • Georgetown men's tennis enters the weekend with a 6-12 record and a 2-4 mark in conference action following a 5-2 win at Xavier and a 4-3 loss at Butler this past weekend.
  • Adhvyte Sharma and James O'Sullivan both had 2-0 weekends in singles matches, with Sharma picking up two wins in No. 4 singles and O'Sullivan picking up a pair of wins in No. 5 singles.

  • Georgetown women's tennis enters the weekend with a 6-10 record and a 3-5 mark in conference play following a 4-3 loss to St. John's on April 6.
  • In the loss to SJU, Emily Novikov (No. 1), Ashley Kennedy (No. 2) and Katie Garofolo-Ro (No. 3) all picked up singles wins.
