WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's lightweight rowing team wrapped up its competition against Navy in the John J. Forster Cup on the Potomac River in Washington D.C. on April 12. The Hoyas sent three boats on the water, with the Varsity B boat finishing in first place.
"Thank you to Navy for making the trip to D.C. today. The weather held off for our crews today and allowed us to get in some good fair races. Congratulations to Navy on winning two of the three events in some very close racing. As we get closer to Eastern Sprints the crews are all getting faster and that was evidence today as all our races were tight. We will get back to work this upcoming week to prepare for our final race against Penn and Princeton." - Lightweight Coach Ethan Shoemaker
