WASHINGTON - Graduate student Maja Lardner was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, and senior Cara Martin was selected as the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. These are the first set of awards for the Hoyas this season.

• In the 4-0 victory over Old Dominion, Lardner scored a pair of goals to help the Hoyas to the win.
• In the upset of No. 15 Virginia Tech on Sunday, Lardner scored the first goal of the match to put the Hoyas ahead 1-0 midway through the first half.
• Against the Hokies, Lardner tallied her fourth goal of the season and has scored in every game this season for the Blue & Gray.

Cara Martin | Sr. | GK | Alexandria, Va.

• Against ODU, Martin managed the shutout for the Hoyas.
• In the upset of No. 15 Virginia Tech on Sunday, Martin managed four saves and allowed just one goal in 90 minutes of action to secure the victory.
• She has started in all three games for the Blue & Gray this season.
