WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team fell in straight sets to the American University Eagles, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-15), on Saturday evening at Bender Arena in Washington, D.C. With the loss, GU slides to 0-2 on the season and the Eagles improve the season at 2-0.

Hoya Highlights

• Dionna Michell led the Hoyas in kills with eight and Samantha Soderlund followed with seven of her own.
• Katherine McGregor and Fiona Turnbull each tallied three blocks.
• Kamryn Lee-Caracci and Juleigh Urbina both recorded a service ace.
• Urbina paced the Hoya offense with a team-high 19 assists.
• Mitchell notched a team high seven digs.
