WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's field hockey team returns to action with a pair of games in Richmond, Virginia this weekend. The Hoyas face Richmond on Friday, September 12 at 3 p.m. before taking on VCU on Sunday, September 14 at 1 p.m.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown (2-2) went 1-1 last weekend with a 3-2 double-overtime setback to Sacred Heart and a 4-1 win over Lock Haven.
- Sydney Yodh and Lily Saal both had a goal and an assist on the weekend while Izzy, Caroline Suko, Riley Fitzgerald and Katherine Malloy each scored as well. Anna Gill was also credited with an assist.
- On the year, Yodh paces the Hoyas with three goals and two assists for eight points while Lee had two goals and an assist for three points.
- In goal, Ella Fahey and Alex Duff have split time between the pipes and are both 1-1.
- Fahey has a 0.89 goals-against average to go with 11 saves and a .846 save percentage while Duff has a 3.00 GAA with 14 saves and a .700 save percentage.
Scouting Richmond
- The Spiders are 1-3 on the year following a 2-1 overtime loss to James Madison and a 4-2 setback to Liberty over the weekend.
- Amy Stripling leads Richmond with two goals for four points on the year while Clara Larripa, Jess McMeekin and Valen Luna Paratore each have a goal and an assist on the year for three points.
- In goal, Amanda Cimillo has played every minute between the pipes and has a 2.47 GAA with 14 saves and a .583 save percentage.
- Georgetown and the Spiders last met in 2024 with Richmond winning 3-1 at home.
Scouting VCU
- The Rams are 2-1 on the year with wins over Old Dominion and William & Mary with a loss to top-ranked Northwestern.
- Morena Macera leads VCU with five goals for 10 points while Lina Behrmann and Angelina Gandos both have four assists each.
- In goal, Emma Clements has played every minute with a 1.61 GAA, 22 saves and a .815 save percentage.
- VCU hosts Wake Forest on Friday before playing the Hoyas.
- Georgetown and VCU last played in 2024 with the Rams winning 4-0 in Richmond.
