WASHINGTON – The No. 16/17 Georgetown University women's soccer team will host the Saint Mary's College Gaels on Sunday, September 14 at Shaw Field on the campus of Georgetown University. This will be the final nonconference matchup of the season for the Hoyas prior to starting BIG EAST play.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown enters Sunday's contest with a 4-1-2 record after earning a 1-0 road victory over Bucknell on Thursday evening. Shay Montgomery helped secure the victory for the Blue & Gray with a penalty kick goal in the 87th minute.
- For her efforts last week, Cara Martin was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week. Martin made six saves in a 1-1 week for the Hoyas and was fantastic against then-No. 10 South Carolina earning her second shutout of the season with two saves to her credit.
- Natalie Means earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after propelling GU to the 1-0 victory over the Gamecocks. GU has now had five weekly honors this season.
- Martin has logged all 630 minutes in goal for GU and boasts a 0.71 GAA with 21 saves on the season. Martin, the reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year, has three shutouts on the campaign.
- Maja Lardner paces the Hoya offense with five goals on the season, a mark good for 10 points. Lardner, the reigning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, scored five goals in the Hoyas first four games of the season.
ABOUT SAINT MARY'S
- Saint Mary's (4-1-1) is coming off a 3-0 victory over Hawaii on Sunday. Three different Gaels found the back of the net against the Rainbow Warriors, and it was the second most goals Saint Mary's has scored in a game this season.
- Savannah Schwarze paces the Gaels offense with three goals and three assists on the season, good for a team-best nine points.
- In goal, Kate Plachy has logged all 540 minutes for Saint Mary's. Plachy boasts a 1.00 GAA and has allowed six goals while making 17 saves.
