WASHINGTON –The Georgetown football team fell 19-10 to Columbia in New York City on Saturday afternoon. The Hoyas are now 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference action while Columbia is now 1-1.
ON THE RECORD
"I'm really proud of how our student-athletes showed up, especially after last week's game against Brown. It was a very competitive back and forth game that was decided by five or six plays. Our job this week is to go back and figure out how we can win those five or six plays. I give a lot of credit to Coach Poppy and Columbia. They fought through to the end. I am very proud of our student-athletes and their resilience through the duration of all four quarters. The game didn't start out well for us on either side but our team continued to put in great effort. This is absolutely something that we can build on this week as we return home for our Homecoming game against Morgan State.?" - Head Coach
Rob Sgarlata on today's contest.
