Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

No. 21/25 Georgetown Defeats UConn 2-0

WASHINGTON – The No. 21/25 Georgetown University women's soccer team defeated the UConn Huskies 2-0 on Saturday evening at Shaw Field. With the win, GU improves to 7-2-2 overall and 3-0 in BIG EAST action while UConn slides to 5-3-2 overall and 1-1-1 in conference action.

Head Coach Dave Nolan
"First and foremost, getting three points tonight was the most important thing and I definitely thought we were the better team and deserved the three points and we earned them. I think if we had a little bit more composure, made a few smarter decisions, we probably could have had one or two more, but we had a couple of really good performances tonight. I thought Ellen Carter did a really good job on their dangerous number 10. I thought Izzy Boodell did a real good job with Kaya Hanson at the back. When you get a shutout against a team that has offensive weapons like that, you have to be happy with it. The goals kind of came pretty much as we drew them up and that was good to see. We look forward to getting back out here on Wednesday against Butler."

About the Match
