WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team defeated the St. John's Red Storm, 3-0 (25-18, 21-16, 25-13), on Saturday night in Queens, New York. With the win, GU improves to 9-6 and 2-0 in BIG EAST play on the season while the Red Storm slide to 4-11 and 0-2 in conference play.

Hoya Highlights

• Dionna Mitchell led the Hoya offense with a team-best 13 digs, while Samantha Soderlund added eight.
• Mitchell led behind the service line, tallying a squad-best three aces with Lee-Caracci behind her with two.
• On defense, Katherine McGregor led the team with six blocks and Berkeley Ploder chipped in five of her own.
• Natalie Nguyen paced the offense with a team-high 17 assists, with Juleigh Urbina close behind at 14.
• Jade Smith tallied a team-best 10 digs while Lee-Caracci had eight for the Hoya defense.
