WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's soccer team will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to face the No. 25/16 Vanderbilt Commodores on Thursday, September 4. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. central, at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown enters Thursday's contest with a 2-0-2 record after earning a 1-1 tie against then-No. 13 Virginia on Sunday. GU was the first team this season to score on the Cavaliers who were yet to concede a goal prior to Sunday's match. Maja Lardner scored in her fourth-consecutive game and currently leads the conference in goals and is 11th nationally with five to her credit.
- For her efforts last week, Lardner earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after earning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on August 25.
- Shay Montgomery is second on the team in points with three to her credit. Montgomery has tallied a goal and an assist this season through four games.
- Cara Martin has logged all 270 minutes in goal for GU and boasts a 1.00 GAA with eight saves on the season. Martin, the reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year has one shutout on the campaign.
- The Blue & Gray went 13-4-4 in 2024 with a mark of 8-1-1 in BIG EAST Conference action which was good enough to win the regular season championship. The Hoyas boasted two All-America selections and six All-BIG EAST selections including three major award winners. The Blue & Gray advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 13th consecutive season and advanced to the second round before finishing the season receiving votes in the final poll.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from last season including seven starters from last season.
- Head Coach Dave Nolan enters his 22nd season at the helm of the Hoyas and boasts a 284-96-65 career record. Nolan and staff were named the 2024 BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year for the fifth time dating back to 2007.
ABOUT #25/16 VANDERBILT
- The Commodores enter Thursday's matchup with a 4-1 record after securing a 2-1 victory over Yale on Friday. Vanderbilt also holds wins over Austin Peay (7-0), Louisville (2-0) and Tennessee Tech (6-0).
- Sydney Watts and Olivia Stafford pace the Commodore offense with three goals and one assist each.
- Sara Wojdelko has logged 403 minutes in goal for Vanderbilt. Wojdelko boasts a 0.45 GAA and has made six saves on the season.

- Georgetown is 0-0-1 all-time against Vanderbilt. The lone meeting between the two programs was a 0-0 tie on August 15, 2024.
