WASHINGTON – The No. 21/25 Georgetown University women's soccer team will host the Butler Bulldogs on Wednesday, October 1. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Shaw Field.

Georgetown (7-2-2, 3-0 BE) defeated the UConn Huskies 2-0 on Saturday evening securing the Hoyas' third win of the conference slate. Lizzie Heller and Isabel Boodell both notched goals in the contest.

Heller tallied a goal and an assist en route to a three-point performance against the Huskies. Heller tallied her fourth multi-point game of her Hoya career scoring on the first and assisting the second goals for GU.

Boodell scored her first goal of her career on Saturday.

Last week, Heller tallied two assists against Seton Hall and a goal and an assist against UConn, earning her a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. It was Hellers' first BIG EAST honor of the season.

Cara Martin has logged all 990 minutes in goal for the Blue & Gray and boasts a 0.81 goals-against average. The reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year has four shutouts on the campaign and 28 saves to her credit.

The Blue & Gray ranks first in the BIG EAST in corners per game (6.64). Martin leads the conference in minutes played in goal (990). Maja Lardner is second in the conference in shots per game (3.91). Henley Tippins is second in the conference in game-winning goals with two to her credit this season.

Dating back to 2021, Georgetown boasts a BIG EAST record of 30-2-9 and secured the regular season title in 2022, 2023 and 2024. GU won the BIG EAST Championship in three of the past four seasons (2021, 2022, 2023).

Butler (4-1-5, 1-0-2 BE) is coming off a 3-1 win against Providence on Saturday evening. Lea Larouche assisted all three goals for the Bulldogs securing the win against the Friars.

Talia Sommer paces the Butler offense with five goals six assists, and 16 points on the season.

Addison Ash has logged 865 minutes in goal for the Bulldogs and boasts a 1.04 goals-against average. Ash has 26 saves to her credit.

This will be the 16th all-time meeting between the two sides dating back to 2013. GU holds an 11-1-4 record against the Bulldogs.
