WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team placed ninth at the Rod Myers Invitational in Durham, North Carolina. GU posted rounds of 298, 301 and 301 (+36) at Duke University GC, a par-72, 7,154-yard course. The Hoyas rounded out the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a team score of 900.
Hoya Results
- Freshman Carson Erick was the top performer for the Blue & Gray, finishing tied for 33rd overall. Erick shot a great first two rounds of 71 and 72, but finished on Sunday with a 78 (+5).
- Zander Maloy, competing as an individual, placed tied for 41st in the field. The junior carded rounds of 79, 70 and 74 to finish seven over.
- Alan Rose was next on the overall leaderboard for the Hoyas, tied for 50th. Rose started strong on Friday with an opening round 72, but rounded out the weekend with a 79 and a 74 on the scorecard to finish at nine over.
- CJ Winchenbaugh finished the weekend tied for 53rd. The sophomore carded rounds of 76, 75 and 75 (+10).
- Up next on the player leaderboard, Barnes Blake tied for 59th with rounds of 79, 75 and 74 (+12).
- Charlie O'Donnell shot a 79 on Friday, an 81 on Saturday and a 79 on Sunday.
