WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's 15th-ranked squash team lost 6-3 to visiting 11th-ranked Tufts on Friday at Squash On Fire in the District. The Hoyas fall to 4-5 on the year while the Jumbos improve to 6-3.
With tightly contested matches throughout the ladder,
Ella Schoonmaker swept her opponent 3-0 in the third spot,
Ella Erickson won 3-1 in the fourth position and
Lindsay Lee posted a 3-0 sweep in the seventh slot.
Playing in an exhibition,
Virginia Wood won 3-1 as well.
In the top spot,
Cici Curran battled to a 3-2 loss while
Mary Kacergis also went the distance in a 3-2 setback in the fifth position.
