Hoyas Set for Friday-Saturday Slate Against William & Mary, Howard

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's tennis teams are set for another triple-match weekend as the spring season progresses. Men's tennis travels back to Virginia to face off against William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia on Friday at noon. The men then head back to Washington, D.C. to take on Howard in their first home match at Yates Field House on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. Women's tennis will also face Howard on Saturday, with their matches scheduled to take place at 5:15 p.m. at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland.

About Georgetown Men's Tennis
  • The Hoyas dropped to 0-2 on the season after falling 6-1 in both matches against VCU and Old Dominion two weekends ago.
  • Jacob Mann scored Georgetown's only point against VCU, defeating Kostiantyn Mantach with a score of 7-6 (7-4), 7-5. Arthur O'Sullivan achieved a singles victory over Old Dominion's Yanis Moundir in straight sets, winning 6-2, 6-4.
  • In doubles play, the duo of James O'Sullivan and Joshua Lamm-Bocharov defeated Moundir and Zechariah Hamroun of Old Dominion 6-0, marking the men's first doubles win of the spring season.
  • A. O'Sullivan was named the BIG EAST Men's Singles Player of the Week, while J. O'Sullivan and Lamm-Bocharov received the Men's Doubles Team of the Week honors on January 19 for their performances.
  • Georgetown went 9-13 overall in the Spring 2025 season, including a 3-4 mark in BIG EAST play.
 
About Georgetown Women's Tennis
  • Georgetown fell 6-1 in its season opener against Maryland on January 18, dropping to 0-1 on the season.
  • Rhuika Bhat picked up her first win of the spring season, defeating Aida Essa in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
  • The women's team is coming off a spring season that saw them finish with an 8-11 record, including a 4-5 mark in conference action.
