Swimming & Diving Takes on Seton Hall on Senior Day

WASHINGTON -The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming & diving teams will take on Seton Hall on Senior Day at the McCarthy Pools on Saturday, January 31 at noon.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

Last weekend, the women's team defeated George Mason 206.50 to 93.50 while the men's team fell 169.50 to 127.50.
At George Mason, the 400 medley relay team of Heifi Wu, Angelica Reali, Caroline Largen and Lila Connor took first place with a time of 3:50.15.
Against GW, the 200 medley relay team of Henry Haupt, Bailey De Luise, Daren Chen, and Owen Watkins captured first place with a time of 1:28.61.
Wu captured first in the 100 backstroke (55.39) and the 200 backstroke (1:59.35) against GW.
During the fall, the men's team went 4-0 in dual competition, while the women went 3-1.
At the West Virginia Invite, Watkins broke his 50 free school record with a first-place swim of 19.44.
The 200 free relay team of Grant Closson, Chen, Troy Keen and Watkins captured third place while breaking a program record with a time of 1:20.34 at the West Virginia Invite.
On October 25, the Georgetown University men's swimming & diving team captured its first conference win of the season over Villanova (199.5-100.5) at McCarthy Pool.
After facing Villanova, freshman Wu and Sophomore Watkins were named BIG EAST Athletes of the Week.
In the 200 backstroke, Wu placed first and broke a pool record with a time of 1:58.10. Wu also finished first in the 100 back (56.05) and the 200 back (1:58.10). She helped the 200 medley relay team capture first with a time of 1:42.66.
