WASHINGTON – Georgetown University softball Head Coach
Karla Ross released the team's 2026 schedule on Tuesday.
"I am incredibly excited for this group and the season ahead," said Ross. "Our team has put in the time, energy and effort to prepare for this moment, and they're hungry to make an impact. This group believes in what it means to play Hoya Softball, and when we play to our standard, we know we can compete with anyone. Our focus is staying present—one game at a time—while committing every day to the level of work required to achieve the goals we set back in the fall."
The Hoyas will open the 2026 season on February 13 with a three game series at the University of Delaware. The Blue & Gray will play a doubleheader against the Blue Hens on February 14 before heading to Wilmington, North Carolina for a five game weekend hosted by UNCW. The Hoyas will face Lafayette and UNCW on February 20, Iona and Lafayette on February 21 and UNCW on February 22.
GU will host its first series against Drexel with a doubleheader on February 28 and a single game on March 1. The Hoyas will then travel to face local rival George Mason in a midweek matchup on March 3 before heading north to take on BIG EAST opponent Providence on March 6-8.
GU will remain on the road as they take on cross town rival George Washington in a midweek matchup on March 11. The Hoyas will head to Chicago for a BIG EAST series against DePaul on March 13-15. The following week the Hoyas will return home for a five game homestand. The Hoyas will open the weekend with a doubleheader against Lafayette on March 18 followed by a three game series against St. John's on March 20-22. GU will head up to Towson for a Tuesday contest on March 24 before closing out the month with a three game series at Villanova on March 27-29.
The Hoyas will host Seton Hall on April 2-4 before heading to Maryland for a midweek contest on April 8. GU will remain on the road as they take on BIG EAST foe Creighton on April 10-12.
The Blue & Gray will return to the District to host a five game homestand starting with a doubleheader against James Madison on April 15. The Hoyas will face Butler in a BIG EAST matchup on April 17-19. GU will face George Washington for a final time in 2026 on April 22.
The Hoyas will travel to Piscataway, New Jersey to play four games hosted by Rutgers. GU will face Lehigh and Rutgers on April 25 and Hofstra and Rutgers on April 26. The Hoyas will play their final road game of the season at Howard on April 29 before closing out the 2026 regular season at home against UConn on May 1-3.
