WASHINGTON – Georgetown men's basketball's KJ Lewis has been selected to the watch list for the Slam Dunk Championship as part of the 37th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Friday, April 3.
 
The event is set for Friday, April 3 at 7 p.m. ET at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and will be broadcast nationally at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 5 on ESPN.
 
KJ LEWIS (JUNIOR / GUARD / 6-4 / 210 / EL PASO, TEXAS)

• KJ Lewis has been a key transfer for the Hoyas this season. Appearing in every game, he tallies a squad-best 15.1 ppg, grabs 5.3 rpg and manages a squad-best 2.2 spg.
• Among the BIG EAST Conference, he is ninth in the league in scoring and second in steals.
• The junior has earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll five times this season, most recently on January 26 after he tallied 26 points in the comeback win at Providence on January 24 on a career-best 10 made field goals, including the game-winning 3-pointer to give the Hoyas the 81-78 win. He managed 21 of his 26 points in the second half to help erase the 21-point deficit to give GU its first road win at PC since 2019.
• The El Paso native tallied a career-high 27 points against St. John's on eight made field goals and a perfect 10-for-10 performance from the free throw line.
• In the win at Butler, he led a trio of Hoyas in double figures with 17 points and three steals. He followed that up with 22 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists against Creighton.
• He was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Second Team.

• The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships invites a collection of the nation's elite men's and women's college basketball players to compete for slam dunk and 3-point shooting bragging rights. The night features the yearly Slam Dunk Championship, the E*TRADE Men's 3-Point Championship, the Celsius Women's 3-Point Championship and the team shootout. The winners of the Men's and Women's 3-Point Championships will then compete in the Skechers Battle of the Champions.
