WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Softball sophomore Emily Collins was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league on Monday. Collins earned the award after the Hoyas went 1-1 against Delaware to open the season, including a 3-0 shutout for the Hoyas' first victory of the 2026 campaign.

• Collins earned her first career victory, pitching in the Hoyas' lone win of the weekend at Delaware. 
• The sophomore pitched seven innings inside the circle, allowing no runs on four hits and striking out six batters.
• This marks Collins' first BIG EAST weekly honor.  

UP NEXT
The Hoyas will travel south to Wilmington, North Carolina, to play five games hosted by UNCW. On Friday, February 20, GU will take on Lafayette and UNCW, while on Saturday, February 21, the Hoyas will face Iona and Lafayette. The Blue & Gray will cap off the weekend with a contest against UNCW on Sunday, February 22.
