WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Softball freshman Catherine Larson was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week.as announced by the league on Monday. Larson earned the honor after the Hoyas 2-1 weekend against Drexel. The Hoyas defeated the Dragon 8-0 in game one before falling 9-1 in game two. In game three, GU came from behind to win 4-3 in 10 innings.

• On the weekend, Larson recorded a 1.37 ERA and a 2-0 record, highlighted by a five-inning no-hitter. 
• .In Saturday's 8-0 five-inning victory over Drexel, Larson struck out five without allowing a hit. In Sunday's 4-3 (10) win over the Dragons, the freshman tossed 5.2 innings and struck out two.
