Box Score RICHMOND, Va. – Georgetown University's No. 12/13 men's lacrosse team dropped a 14-10 decision at second-ranked Richmond on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 1-3 on the year while the Spiders improve to 6-0.

How it Happened
- A back-and-forth affair for the majority of the game, Georgetown struck first as Price scored in transition at the 11:15 mark. Richmond responded, scoring just 59 seconds later, but back-to-back goals from Rory Connor put the Hoyas ahead 3-1 with 3:24 remaining in the first. The Spiders kept pace, scoring consecutive goals to knot things up at 3-3 but Schubert's first goal of the day with 14 seconds left gave the Blue & Gray a 4-3 lead after 15 minutes of action.
- Following a slow start to the second quarter, Richmond scored back-to-back goals at the 9:36 and 8:55 marks to take their first lead of the game at 5-4. The two squads would trade goals the rest of the half before the Spiders found the back of the net with just seven ticks on the clock to take a 7-6 advantage into halftime.
- Coming out of the break, Schubert evened the score less than two minutes in before GU and Richmond traded goals at 8:34 and 7:41 to make it 8-8 – a score that would hold the rest of the stanza.
- Trading goals early, Richmond scored the eventual game-winner with 9:54 to play and held Georgetown scoreless while adding four more goals until Rory Connor's final score of the day with 35 seconds to go to seal the victory.
Richmond Notes
- Lucas Littlejohn and Gavin Creo led the Spiders with three goals apiece, while Daniel Picart and Aidan O'Neil both added two goals and two assists.
- Vincent Gaylord went 12-for-23 (.521) on faceoffs with five ground balls.
- Defensively, Hunter Smith was credited with three caused turnovers and four ground balls.
- In goal, Connor Knight (6-0) had nine saves in the win.
