WASHINGTON - The No. 14/22 Georgetown University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Saint Mary's on Sunday afternoon in Moraga, California. With the result, the Hoyas moved to 1-1-1 on the season, while the Gaels sit at 2-0-2.

"This was a very difficult game against a very good WCC team. They were well organized and difficult to break down and also had a real threat up top. The girls found the energy needed in the heat and battled hard. We had a couple of really good chances and when Caroline hit the cross bar I felt we were knocking on the door. Sadly we ran out of time and now we have a week to get ready for a good Virginia Tech team next Sunday."
About the Match
• The Hoyas earned the first opportunity of the game when Abby Droner curled a ball into the box for Caroline Spengler, who sent her attempt just over the crossbar.
• In the 14th minute, Reiley Fitzpatrick came up big for GU, making a quick save to keep the match scoreless.
