Cross Country Heads to New Jersey for Princeton Meadow Challenge

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's cross country programs will head north for the Princeton Meadow Challenge, hosted by Princeton University on Saturday, September 26. The Hoyas are slated to compete in the men's 8K and women's 6K at the Princeton XC Course.

The men's 8K will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the women's 6K will follow at 10:15 a.m.

About the Georgetown Women

The Hoyas competed in an open 5K and varsity 6K at the Cantello Invitational on September 12. In her cross country debut, freshman Esme Campbell secured the individual title in the open 5K, finishing with a time of 19:07.4.
The Hoyas are ranked fifth in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic region while also receiving votes in the national poll.

About the Georgetown Men

Georgetown opened its season at the Spider Alumni Open on September 5, placing second with 34 points in a 14-team field. Birhanu Harriman (3rd) led the Hoyas with a cross country personal best of 18:26.0, while Luke Ondracek (4th), Maxwell Friedrich (7th) and Quinn Parrish (9th) also finished within the top 10.
The Georgetown men are ranked second in the Mid-Atlantic Region while receiving votes in the USTFCCCA national poll.
