Hoyas Fall to Seton Hall in Overtime, 65-62

WASHINGTON (Jan. 8)(AP) -- Sophomore Kevin Braswell and Freshman Victor Samnick had 18 points apiece for Georgetown which rallied from an 11 point deficit in the second half, but it wasn't enough as Georgetown fell to Seton Hall in overtime, 65-62 on Saturday.

Saunders and Shaheen Holloway each had 14 points for Seton Hall, (10-2, 2-0 Big East), which won its seventh straight. Georgetown failed to reach 20 points at halftime for the second consecutive game.

Kevin Braswell and Victor Samnick had 18 points apiece for Georgetown (8-5, 0-2), which trailed by 11 early in the second half.

Seton Hall shot just 32 percent and had 17 turnovers, helping Hoyas force the game into overtime tied at 54-54. Braswell missed three shots in the final minute of regulation, and Holloway's shot at the buzzer bounced off the backboard and rim.

The teams combined to shoot 26 percent in the first half, with Seton Hall's Samuel Dalembert blocking a team-record nine shots.

Georgetown trailed 26-19 at halftime and committed 11 turnovers. It was the fewest points at the break for Seton Hall this season.
