WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 7) -- Rebekkah Brunson (Oxon Hill, Md.) had her 10th double-double of the season, but it wasn't enough as Villanova defeated Georgetown, 63-47. The Wildcats broke a 37-37 tie with a 15-0 run midway through the second half to take control of the game.
Brunson led the Hoyas with 23 points and 11 rebounds. She had 14 of her points in the first half. Nathalie Bourdereau added nine points for GU.
The Wildcats (16-6, 7-4) shot 50 percent from the field in the second half, while holding the Hoyas to just nine field goals in the half. Brandi Barnes led the Wildcats with 19 points and nine rebounds. Katie Davis added 15 points, including three 3-pointers.
The Hoyas will return to action on Monday when they host Florida International.
