Arlington,VA- Georgetown lost in a local battle with George Washington 7-1 Tuesday afternoon. This brings Georgetown losing streak to 15 and their record to 7 and 35.
Georgetown fell behind in the second inning and was not able to grab a lead for the rest of the afternoon. Georgetown was held to just one run off seven hits and left 10 runners on base. George Washington already with a 3-0 lead, added three runs in the seventh inning to put themselves in great position to win the game. Freshman Bill Quinn (Alta Loma,Calif./Alta Loma) scored the Hoyas only run of the game with a homerun in the eighth inning. George Washington added another run in the eighth to seal the 7-1 victory.
Georgetown plays their next game Thursday, April 18 at 4:00 pm against Howard University. This will be Georgetown's first home game since March 30.
