WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team is set to host George Washington University on Wednesday, April 22 at Capital One Park for a midweek matchup. First pitch in Tysons, Virginia is scheduled for 6 p.m.

- During the 2026 season, all parking for games at Capital One Park will be in the underground garage at 1820 Capital One Drive South. Patrons should bring their parking ticket to the stadium for validation of baseball rate.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- In its last outing, Georgetown defeated the Butler Bulldogs 14-5 in 13 innings on Sunday, April 19 at Bulldog Park to win the series 2-1.
- This week, Travis Ilitch was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll after pacing the Hoya offense in the series win over Butler, hitting 8-for-15 with six runs scored and four RBI, adding a pair of doubles and drawing two walks.
- Jeremy Sheffield leads the Hoyas slashing .367/.463/.506 this season. The senior has notched 58 hits, 39 RBIs, 11 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 29 runs scored.
- Connor Peek paces the Hoya offense slashing .361/.466/.535 in his first season on the Hilltop. The graduate student has tallied 56 hits, 12 doubles, five home runs, 38 RBIs and 43 runs scored.
- Graduate left-hander Spencer Seid boasts a 5-3 record and a 2.81 ERA while leading Georgetown with 58 strikeouts on 57.2 innings pitched over nine starts. Senior right-hander Kai Leckszas owns a 4-3 record and a 3.99 ERA with 41 strikeouts over 49.2 innings pitched over nine starts. JT Raab holds a 2-3 record with a 7.04 ERA with 42 strikeouts.
- Graduate right-hander Luke Jackman has a 1.71 ERA while leading the Hoyas with six saves and a 3-1 record in 21.0 innings and 16 appearances out of the bullpen.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from the 2025 squad and has added 10 transfers and seven newcomers.
- Graduate student JT Raab earned a nod to the 2026 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team after posting a team-best 3.63 ERA in 74.1 innings of action in 2025. The Seaford, New York native was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2025.
- Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his sixth season on the Hilltop. Thompson guided GU to its most successful season in program history in 2024 posting a 36-21 record marking three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history.
