Osterville, Mass. - The Georgetown University women?s golf team finished sixth overall in the Lady Eagle Invitational, which took place at the Oyster Harbor?s Golf Club in Osterville on Saturday-Sunday, April 6-7. The team, which is in its inaugural year as a varsity sport at Georgetown, shot a collective score of 703.
Freshman Connie Isler (Fort Meade, Md.) produced the top individual performance for the Hoyas, shooting a combined 161. Isler posted an 80 on Saturday then followed that up with an 81 on Sunday. Freshman Lauren Frazer (Annapolis, Md.) shot a 90 on the first day of the tournament and an 85 on day two, for a combined score of 175. Sophomores Heather McDermott (Newport Beach, Calif.) turned in an overall score of 181, Jill Haak (Baltimore, Md.) closed out the tournament with a 187 and Gilliam Feh (Locust Valley, N.Y.) finished with a 189.
The Hoyas will be in action again on Saturday-Sunday, April 13-14, when they travel to Harrisonburg, Virginia for James Madison?s Lady Dukes Invitational.
