The Skinny
Georgetown and Fordham have a 47-game rivalry dating back to 1890. GU is in the midst of an eight game losing streak to the Rams with the last Hoya victory coming in 1983. After a 3-0 start to the month of October the Blue and Gray had a 45-24 setback last weekend against Lehigh and now sit at 3-5 overall and 1-3 in conference action. Fordham meanwhile is 6-2 overall and is 1-2 in league play. The Rams have reeled off three straight including a 32-30 win at Lafayette last Saturday.

The Hoyas? offense has continued to rely on the run this season as GU averages 140.8 yards a game. Leading the rumblers is Marcus Slayton who has a 4.8 yards per carry average and has 610 yards on the year. Fordham?s defense has had difficulty stopping the run as they are ranked last in the Patriot League and allow 222.6 rushing yards per game. The Rams? pass defense is another story as they are tops in the league giving up only 152.4 yards a game. It will be a test for wideout Luke McArdle who is fourth in the nation for receiving yards with 112.63 per affair.

Fordham?s offense revolves around quarterback Kevin Eakin, who is throwing for over 262 yards a game. Also Fordham boasts one of the nation?s top running backs in Kirwin Watson, 126.5 yards per game, and another national leader in wideout Javarus Dudley, 111.9 yards per game.
