The Skinny
Both teams today are looking for their first conference win of the 2004 season. The Hoyas have never defeated Holy Cross in league play and the Crusaders are currently on a four game win streak against GU. Last week Georgetown snapped a two game losing streak by shutting out Davidson 23-0, the second shutout pitched by the Hoya defense this season. Holy Cross lost 56-20 last weekend at Lafayette and has given up 41 points or more in every league game this season.

Georgetown's opportunistic defense reared its head again last weekend at Davidson as five separate Hoyas secured interceptions and GU recorded five sacks and 10 TFLs. The linebacking trio of Mehdi Hassan, Christopher Paulus and Jason Carter has become a force at the tail end of the season. Hassan is GU's leading tackler with 86 stops, Paulus ranks second with 70 and Carter is fifth with 44. The three combined have 17.5 TFLs, four interceptions, four sacks, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Carter is one of 16 seniors who will be playing their final game in the Blue and Gray today.

Holy Cross' passing offense is ranked second in the league behind junior quarterback John O'Neil. Tailback John Silva has been all-everything for H.C. averaging 142.90 all-purpose yards per game, which ranks 21st in the nation and first in the league. The H.C. defense is headed up by senior linebacker David Fitzpatrick who has 97 tackles on the season.

You Should Know...
Junior tailback Kim Sarin has 882 yards rushing this season, which is the fourth best season in Hoya history. He is 19 yards away from having the most rushing yardage in one season ever on the Hilltop.
