WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team will kickoff conference action as it hosts Patriot League foe Lafayette on Saturday, September 13. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 PM at Cooper Field.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- GU is coming off a 31-20 victory over Wagner in the 2025 home opener on Cooper Field on Saturday afternoon.
- Wide receiver Nicholas Dunneman was named Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the win. The senior returned a punt for a 55-yard touchdown to give the Hoyas their first lead in the game.
- Quarterback Danny Lauter completed 14-24 passes for 164 yards and one touchdown while Dez Thomas II rushed the ball four times for 80 yards, including a 67-yard rushing touchdown.
- Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week GianCarlo Rufo led the GU defense with 14 tackles, including 1.5 TFLs for a loss of eight yards.
- On defense, Quincy Briggs recorded two interceptions while Patriot League Rookie of the Week Dean Mangiocavallo recorded five tackles (2 solo, 3 assists) and two sacks for a loss of 14 yards.
- Georgetown is ranked first in the nation in punt returns with an average of 32.50.
- Senior wide receiver Jimmy Kibble is climbing up the Georgetown record book. After recording seven receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown against Wagner, Kibble is now sixth in career receiving yards (1729) and career receiving touchdowns (13).
- The Hoyas are receiving votes in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll.
ABOUT THE LEOPARDS
- Lafayette is coming off a 42-26 road victory at Stonehill on Saturday.
- The Leopards dominated the run game, recording 319 rushing yards at Stonehill, led by junior running back Kente Edwards in his first career start. The Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week carried the ball 12 times for 127 yards and three scores (all career highs).
- Running back Ethan Weber had six carries for 77 yards and a touchdown, while Jason Penza and Dean DeNobile added rushing touchdowns of their own.
- Head coach John Troxell is in his 20th career season on the sidelines and fourth for the Maroon and White.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Georgetown and Lafayette are meeting for the 28th time, with the Hoyas having an overall record of 11-16 against the Leopards.
- Last season, the Hoyas shut out Lafayette 17-0 on the road. In the win, Cooper Blomstrom led the Hoyas with four tackles, two sacks for a loss of 11 yards and returned one interception for seven yards, while Savion Hart recorded his first career touchdown.
