The Skinny
Georgetown faces Pitt for the first time this season. Pitt owns a 22-18 series lead over the Hoyas and won last year?s contest, 91-72, in Washington. The teams have split the last six games and Georgetown has won seven of the last 10. GU is currently on a three-game skid while the Panthers have lost seven straight.

Georgetown has yet to win in February but continues to play strong defense holding the opponent to an average of six points under its average. All-America candidate Rebekkah Brunson is coming off two straight double-doubles (19 pts, 15 reb v. Virginia, 30 pts, 13 reb v. B.C.) and is the only player in the BIG EAST averaging a double-double (18.5 ppg, 11.4 rpg). She had one of her best performances ever as a rookie in 2001 against Pitt, scoring 28. Fellow captain Mary Lisicky also has produced a career game against Pitt nailing six threes last season and finishing with a career high 27 points.

Pittsburgh, under first year coach Berenato, has two conference wins, against Providence and at Seton Hall. The Panthers are led by senior Latoya Kincaid?s 15.1 ppg. She has led Pitt?s scoring effort in 16-of-21 games. She is also the team?s top rebounder, averaging 7.8 and has been the team?s carom leader in 13 contests.

You Should Know...
Rebekkah Brunson is the only Hoya ever to grab 1,000 rebounds. She is also the BIG EAST leader in scoring (18.5) and rebounding (11.4). Plus she leads the league in FG % in conference games (.494).

You Should Also Know...
Mary Lisicky is one three pointer away from #200. She is Georgetown?s all-time leader from behind the arc.
