WASHINGTON, DC - Georgetown University baseball student athlete Ryan Craft has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week for March 21-27. The Hoyas went 2-2 in BIG EAST play (2-3 overall), and split their series with Notre Dame and West Virginia.
For the week, Craft batted .500 (8-for-16) in conference play where he belted three home runs, nailed a double, knocked in seven and scored six runs. He hit the game-winning home run in GU's 9-8, 12-inning victory over Notre Dame, and had two home runs against the Mountaineers. The Jupiter, Fla., native went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Georgetown's 9-5 win in its first game versus WVU. Overall, the junior hit .473 (9-for-19) for the week with nine RBI, a double and four home runs.
The Hoyas will next travel to Navy on Tuesday, March 29. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
