Washington, DC-- The Georgetown University field hockey team will be holding summer camps during July 2005. The camp will be directed by Head Coach Laurie Carroll, and will be coached by Georgetown University field hockey staff and players.
Evening Program (recommended for players entering grades 9-12)
Held: July 18-21
Where: Georgetown University Campus, Washington, D.C.
Time: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Overview: The evening program will focus on team strategy and dynamics of a team unit. The camp will be instructed on a "team first" concept. Participants may come as a team or individuals.
Day Program (recommended for players of all skill levels)
Held: July 25-28
Where: Georgetown University Campus, Washington, D.C.
Time: 9:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Overview: The day program will provide the participants with an environment to develop their techniques, tactics, and competitive nature. Strength and conditioning programs will be included to improve fitness and play. There will also be specialized goal keeping instruction.
Beginner Program (recommended for beginners and intermediate youth)
Held: July 11-14
Where: Annapolis Sports Complex
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Overview: This program will include basic stickwork, hitting techniques, offensive skills, defensive skills, defensive footwork and positioning, and team concepts.
