Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University crew program traveled to Philadelphia to take part in the Navy Day Regatta on Saturday, October 14.
The Hoyas were able to build off their strong performances two weeks ago, as three first place finishes headlined the day's events. The men's lightweight college four, women's college lightweight four, and women's lightweight college eight all won their events. Georgetown finished first and fourth in the women's lightweight four, as their top team beat out Lafayette by a full minute. The men's lightweight college four won their individual heat, finishing with a time of 16:16, 35 seconds faster than the University of Delaware. Finally, the women's lightweight college eight won their heat with a time of 17:28.
The men's lightweight college eight had two teams place among the top 10, finishing second and ninth. The second place team came in with a time of 14:00, a mere thirteen seconds behind Navy. The men's college eight squad finished third of 18 teams, one second behind Army, and 15 seconds behind Navy.
The women's college four had teams place seventh, 10th and 16th in their event, while the women's college eight had teams finish eighth and ninth among 14 teams.

Georgetown returns to competition on the water on Sunday, October 22, for the Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass.
