Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University head women's field hockey coach Laurie Carroll announced her resignation today.

Carroll posted a 55-82 record in eight years at the helm of the Hoya program. A head coach at the collegiate level for 11 years, including three at American University, Carroll has a career record of 98-95.

A search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
