WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown University softball team (1-8) will not compete this weekend, as the UNC-Greensboro Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. has been cancelled due to rain.

The Hoyas two Saturday games had previously been moved from 10 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. before the two day tournament was cancelled earlier on Saturday afternoon.

GU returns to action on March 6, as they travel back to North Carolina to take part in the UNC-Chapel Hill Tournament. On Friday, March 6 Georgetown will take on Princeton at 11 a.m. before meeting host North Carolina at 1 p.m.
