WASHINGTON, D.C. - Season tickets for the 2009-10 season are now on sale to new account holders as the Georgetown University men's basketball team is poised to return to the court after playing one of the nation's toughest schedules last year.
Under the direction of Head Coach John Thompson III, Georgetown made its fifth-straight postseason appearance last season, advancing to the NIT. Georgetown finished among the top-15 in the country in strength of schedule last year and posted four wins over top-25 teams, beat two teams that advanced to the Final four and two that reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. The Hoyas welcome back three starters, including sophomore center Greg Monroe (New Orleans, La./Helen Cox), who was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Year.
The best way to enjoy the action at Verizon Center - which has become one of the toughest places to play in the BIG EAST Conference - is through a season ticket package. Season ticket holders receive the best seats in Verizon Center, the opportunity to renew their same seats each year and a significant discount off the ticket price. (*Discount does not apply to seats in the $10 price level or to floor seats and all tickets, seats and discounts are subject to availability.)
Georgetown will play home games against 2009 NCAA Final Four participants Connecticut and Villanova, NCAA Tournament participant Syracuse, Notre Dame, as well as Cincinnati, Rutgers, St. John's, Seton Hall and South Florida.
Season tickets start at just $10 per game. For more information on season ticket prices, please visit http://guhoyas.cstv.com/tickets/m-baskbl-season-tix-09-10.html. There are many great seats available at all price ranges, including seats in the lower bowl of Verizon Center.
