Opening Statement...
The message every game is to come out strong. The difference tonight was our defense. I think our defense in the first half and really throughout the game was very good. Jason aind Chris were chasing [Jeremy] Hazell all night long, but everyone was doing a good job of helping support and showing overall.
On the contributions from Henry Sims and Jerrelle Benimon...
They were good. Henry goes in there and gets four boards and two blocks in ten minutes, so that was a big boost from him, we need that from him. Both of those guys, Jerelle has progressed to where he's comfortable out there.
On limiting Jeremy Hazell on offense...
That was a goal. He's so good and they do such a good job of trying to get him shots you can't bank on [stopping him]. The reason why we were somewhat successful was not just because of the two guys that were on him tonight, but the attentiveness of our whole team as to where he was. I thought our guys did a great job of helping each other.
On Georgetown's offense...
I think we're getting better, I told the guys that. We're doing a very good job of finding what is there and not forcing anything. I think the guys are doing a very good job of sharing the game and helping each other and reading the game. We're maturing, we're getting to a higher level of understanding where the reads are becoming more natural and we're having some success.

Opening Statement...
"Our first half was probably our worst half of the year. For whatever reason, we worked very hard at practice for three days to get ready for the game, and I don't want to take any credit away from Georgetown, certainly they came out and defended us well, but for us to have 10 turnovers in the first half against a team that doesn't press, they really didn't even play zone for whatever reason we just struggled tonight."
"The 10 turnovers really killed us because it gave them run outs and it just put us in a hole. When you are down 16 in the first half against a team like Georgetown, with the way they play, that's like being down 20 or 30 to somebody else because they are methodical, they hold the ball, they run their stuff, they carve you, they make free throws and they're at home. There's a reason they are ranked 11th in the country. "
"Greg Monroe is an issue; he's a hard guy to deal with even in foul trouble. He changes shots, he alters shot, he's a great passer, he's like point-forward up top and then of course their guards shot the ball well. We knew that Austin Freemen is capable and Chris Wright's a good player, but Jason Clark really surprised us because he had an incredible night. So a lot of things didn't go right for us."
"Herb Pope was in foul trouble and Georgetown played really good and I thought that was our worst Big East game of the year. Again, some of the credit goes to Georgetown, some of it, we just didn't play good."
On Georgetown's ability to shoot 70% from the field...
"I think it's a little bit of both. I think, at times we had some defensive breakdowns because they a re not an easy team to guard. They are a tough match up for us. We probably should have pressed them earlier but we can't get into any type of pressure when we are not scoring and you are turning the ball over. What we did in the second half was to turn the tempo around, get into them and make it more our style. Some of it was that they shot the lights out. They made shots. We played great defense a couple of time and they just made shots."
On Jeremy Hazell's inability to score...
"Well, they did a good job and switched out on him, they concentrated on him. But again we couldn't get anything else going. They blocked some shots, we couldn't get to the free throw line, we couldn't get in transition. A lot of things went wrong for us. We shot bad from three, we didn't make our shots and I think the 10 turnovers in the first half destroyed us."
