WASHINGTON - Sophomore forward Catherine Shugrue (Devon, Pa./Episcopal Academy) earned a spot on this week's BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll when the conference announced honors Monday afternoon.

Shugrue scored the lone goal for the Hoyas against Providence on Saturday in a 4-1 defeat.

This is Shugrue's second BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selection this season. Her first honors came on Aug. 31. She led the Hoyas offensively with 32 points on 14 goals and four assists. Five of her 14 goals were game-winners. Shugrue had the second highest single-season goal total in the last ten years behind Elena Elster, who scored 23 goals in 2000. Shugrue becomes the second Hoya this season to earn multiple BIG EAST Weekly Honors.

Senior defender Annika Bannon (Hopkinton, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) made the honor roll on Sept. 13 and Sept. 27.

Georgetown completed its regular season last Saturday against Providence. The Hoyas finished with a record of 6-13 and 1-5 in BIG EAST play. Six wins ties for the most wins in a season since 2003.
