WASHINGTON - The John Thompson III Foundation, started in 2007 by John and Monica Thompson to foster non-profits in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region serving at-risk children and families, announced today the launch of its newly redesigned website. The foundation has kept its original web address, and the new site can still be viewed at www.jtiiifoundation.org.

Through the new website, the JTIII Foundation hopes to keep fans, donors and partners better abreast of foundation events and news. One of the new additions to the site is a blog, which will feature event, appearance and partnership information.

The John Thompson III Foundation raises funds and awareness for the organizations it supports, primarily in the areas of healthcare and education. Recent partners have included The Washington Jesuit Academy, The Capital Breast Care Center, The Avon Foundation and Everybody Wins! DC.

The John Thompson III Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public fundraising foundation.
