WASHINGTON - The 2012 Georgetown Hoyas Women's Lacrosse Camp opened registration on Tuesday. It will run from June 25-27, 2012. The camp is an overnight experience where campers will be housed on campus and the training sessions will take place at Multi-Sport Field and Kehoe Field in the heart of Georgetown University.
The camp is meant for girls entering grades 7-12.
This camp is specifically designed for motivated and experienced lacrosse players who are looking to prepare themselves for the next level. Training sessions will be intense and challenging, and will provide campers with plenty of "hands-on" coaching by our experienced staff. Campers will also have daily opportunities to scrimmage and participate in game situations.
A typical day will consist of skill sessions, team concepts/situational play, competition, small-sided games and tournament play.
There will also be two goalie training sessions which will be taught by Trish Dabrowski from Roland Park Country School. The program will run in conjunction with the Hoyas Women's Camp. Goalies will also be assigned to all scrimmage situations and placed on a team during tournament play. Players must supply their own equipment.
Please be advised that space is extremely limited so interested parties should register as soon as possible. Past camps have filled up by March.
Interested campers can register by mail, by downloading the application and sending it in. For more information, please visit the Georgetown athletic website.
