WASHINGTON – Junior attacker

Leah Warehime was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following a dominant defensive stretch that saw the Hoyas (9-3, 3-0 BIG EAST) extend their winning streak to four games.
McGovern was the catalyst for a Hoya offense that averaged 18 goals per game during a perfect 2-0 week. The Kings Park, New York, native recorded back-to-back multi-point performances, including a five-point outing (2G, 3A) in a road victory at Drexel and a four-point performance (3G, 1A) in a 19-1 win over Xavier. McGovern currently leads the Blue & Gray with 49 points (30G, 19A) through 12 games.
Joining her in the weekly honors, Warehime earned a spot on the Honor Roll after a stellar week in the cage. The graduate student posted an elite .640 save percentage across two starts, allowing just 4.5 goals per game. Warehime anchored a defensive unit that held Xavier to a single goal on Saturday and recorded 10 saves in the midweek win at Drexel.
